The Tale of a Bad Barber

While working on a Sunday School lesson, I read a short scripture that left me in tears.

But before long, his hair began to grow back.

Judges 16:22

I love the Old Testament and all of it's stories. I've read the story of Samson many times, but you know when you read the Word there is always more you didn't see when read before. When I read this scripture the Holy Spirit flooded my Spirit with the feeling of hope and triumph. I knew that God included this verse for that very purpose. Maybe you feel like you're down for the count, it's over. Maybe others think that about you.

But, your hair will grow back.

Our sin may move us away from God and the consequences of it may not be reversed, but our ability to be used by God can return. With repentance and prayer God can still work His plan through us.

This short scripture is beautiful and redemptive. This verse should have you broken on your face, repenting and praising God. This verse is for those of us who have lost or given away something that God wanted us to keep. This verse is for every man.
