25 Cents and Cardboard

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are. 1 John 3:1

My love for hunting down junk is never satisfied! Even when my wonderful husband says I better not put one more thing in the shed! There's no better feeling than to find something cheap or free and bring it back to life, better than it was before. I usually I like to find frames with sturdy pictures already in them that I can paint over.

My last trip to the thrift store I found some wooden frames with no pictures or glass, but they were only 25 cents so I couldn't leave them there! I found some cardboard at home and cut it to fit the frame, painted it, and then glued the cardboard to the back of the frame.

One man's junk is another man's treasure, and this cute little picture is now a treasure to me.

I know that we have all at some time felt like we were only worth 25 cents and some cardboard. Actually whoever made us feel that way has felt that way too. One thing about God is, His love for bringing in junk and making it better than it ever was before, is never satisfied! His Word says that it is NOT His will that any ONE would would die without knowing Him. He wants to bring us all home, and not just to a shed filled with junk, but to a beautiful mansion He has prepared for us!

We are His Beloved.

Beloved in the Bible means to breathe and long for. He loves us more than life! One thing satan never wants you to realize is who you are. He wants you to always feel less than 25 cents and a piece of cardboard, BUT you are loved more than anything by the Almighty God. You are loved by The Creator of all things, The God above all things, there is nothing comparable to His Might, Wisdom, Love, Power, and strength, and you belong to Him, He is your Father and you are His Beloved. Remind the devil that he has no power over you because everything you are, and everything you have is being taken care of by your Good Good Father!
