Where's The Refresh Button?

I love the warm weather and even the hot weather, but the heat makes my plants look tired and a little droopy. I try to water them as often as I can because I love to see them refreshed and happy.

Every new day brings something to do, something to take care of, and sometimes it brings things so heavy we can hardly stand under the weight of it. Even though we know God would not allow us to be crushed, it sure feels like it sometimes. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

The good news is every new day brings new mercies and refreshing from God! Just do a little research and look up all of the scriptures on refreshing. You can start with a very familiar one, Psalm 23.

We don't have to live in a dry land just because we live in a fallen world. We can be like well watered trees planted by the river!

I know when I'm like my plants, tired and a little droopy, I need to take time to be refreshed. What I really need to do is to take time first to be in His Presence, and in His Word, and then I will be fully prepared for anything the day holds for me and I will have enough refreshing to share with others.

Proverbs 11:25 says A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.

It's my prayer that you who are tired and droopy will be refreshed today! Look to Him, sit quietly in His Presence and just wait for His refreshing rain, I know it will come.

So let us know— let us press on to know the LORD. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the rain, like the spring showers that water the earth. Hosea 6:3
