Psalms 23:1-3 NLT The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name.
Do you ever feel guilty for taking time away to regroup and recharge? I know that I have because my mind is continuously reminding me of everything that needs to be done and everything that has to be done right now or I will disappoint someone. But the Lord tells us to come and rest.
Pastor Robbie told us Sunday that "BUSY" stands for Burdened Under Satan's Yoke.
That really stood out to me because this world has become so busy that we never take time to rest in God's presence. And if we do, it isn't for long. Have we forgotten where our strength comes from? The busyness and stress of this world will choke the life out of you. Listen to your Savior, come and rest where the Spirit can refuel, repair, refresh and restore everything that "BUSY" has taken away. By doing this for yourself and your family you will begin to see joy, peace and love restored that you may have thought was lost forever.
Mark 6:31 NLT Then Jesus said, “Let’s go off by ourselves to a quiet place and rest awhile."
