We often hear people say "I found Jesus" or "She found Jesus". But the truth is Jesus finds us. John 6:44
We are the field with the treasure of God hidden in us, Jesus is the Man who found us. The thing is though, once we answer God's call, the treasure shouldn't be hidden anymore.
We all may have moments that we show more of our field than our treasure. Sometimes my husband comes home to the field and sometimes he comes home to the treasure, but he loved me enough to buy the whole field knowing there was treasure in me.
Jesus loved us all enough to buy the whole field (the whole world) knowing that some would respond to His call and some would not. BUT, with joy, He paid ALL He had to purchase us, to redeem us, so we could always be in a relationship with Him. He deposited His Holy Spirit in us to be a light for everyone to see. 2Corinthians 4:7
When people are around us they should see the treasure in us.
Let them see the light of Jesus in us and then they will praise God.
*If we have received the Holy Spirit, God expects the work of the Holy Spirit to be exhibited in us.
Let's make purposeful effort to display the treasure of the Holy Spirit to the world rather than the field. To our friends, family, co-workers and strangers. The light in us can overcome all the darkness of this world!
