For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.
Psalm 149:4
I was praising God in my prayer time, letting Him know that I realize there is not one thing that I touch, taste, hear, see or feel, that He is not the Author and Creator of. Then He let me know that He created them all for my pleasure!
This earth is just a replica of Heaven made for us to live in, take dominion of, and take pleasure in.
Then God let me know that He made us for His Pleasure. When you have children of your own it's not hard to understand why we are His pleasure. We have children to love them, to have them love us and to delight in them. That's the easy part.
The part we need help with is realizing that every person was formed by God, created for His pleasure. When we find a person that's not pleasing to us we just assume they are not pleasing to God either and we have the right to treat them according to how we feel about them. Is that very pleasing to God?
I understand that not all people love God, and some are just mean and some are aggravating, needy, nagging, and unlikable. Some are even evil to the extent of unbelievableness. (I may have made that word up.)
But Gods Word says; "Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign LORD. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live. Ezekiel 18:23
It is God's desire that the most wicked and vile human wouldn't perish and end up in hell but come to the saving knowledge of Him and live. That's His number one priority for people and it should be ours. That even someone who has abused us, or murdered our loved one, that God doesn't desire for them to perish in their sin. These are some hard things to accept in our humanness. We may be thinking we could never love or even care for someone like that enough to be concerned with their eternal life. We may even pray that God would send them to hell. You are thinking exactly right. It is not in us without God Himself being in us. I have seen testimony of people forgiving the murderer of their child and leading that person to salvation. That is not a work of our humanness, but a work of God in them. Are we willing to let God do that work in us?
In Matthew 19:26, Jesus lets us know that some things are impossible for man but with God, all things are possible.
I pray that in this revelation God has given me that I will strive to look at people differently, treat people differently, and let God lead me in all interaction with people. Most of all remembering that we do not fight against people but we fight against the enemy who fights against God's people, God's pleasure.
