Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
1 Corinthians 15:58
Do you ever feel like you have taken three steps forward and then two steps back? Maybe you feel like you were on the right path and then you realize you have drifted off course. Sometimes the enemy sends winds and storms to blow us off course and sometimes we are too busy looking at the enemy and what he is doing to pay attention to the path. We need to fix our eyes on God!
If an army of men fighting in an active battle do nothing but look around at what the enemy is doing, they are not able to advance to their goal and possibly be killed in the process.
The enemy wants to to preoccupy us and keep us busy with so many things, keeping our eyes on him. He wants to capture our minds and our attention so that we are not concentrating on God and His plans for us, and so we are moved from our position.
Then I heard the Lord asking, "Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?" I said, "Here I am. Send me."
