When was the last time you wept for the lost people in this world? Those that don't know Jesus as Lord and Savior? When is the last time you wept for the children and adults suffering mental, physical, and sexual abuse at the hand of evil? When is the last time you wept before the Lord to push back the demonic forces of this world that are here to steal, kill, and destroy?
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
2 Corinthians 10:3-4
We have weapons with divine power! Divine means "of God, from God"- power from God! I have to take a good look at myself sometimes, how do I allow the enemy to trick me, move me from my task here, how do I allow him to outwit me, to take me off the battle field, how do I let him disarm me?
How do I have the nerve to walk around pitiful, feeling sorry for myself because of life's circumstances or because someone doesn't like me, something didn't go my way, or I don't have what they have. Do we understand the warfare God wants to prepare us for? We are His movement on this earth. We should be His heart on this earth.
How petty my problems seem when I see evil groups of terrorists massacre thousands, raping small children and enslaving people. Should I be unconcerned as long as my little girl is safe with me? How many people do we pass by that are going to slip into eternity in hell? Should I be unconcerned as long as my family is saved? This is the war we are to wage in, not consumed with self. I hear people say "I'm all in my feelings today." Well get out of them and get into God's!
Paul said in Romans 9 that he had great sorrow and unceasing anguish in his heart for the lost. So much so that he would trade his own salvation for them to find it! Don't let an opportunity pass by that you could pray for someone, don't let an opportunity pass by that you could give support to a ministry that works to bring people to Jesus, free slaves and feed the dying.
When you turn on the news tonight, when you read news articles, when you see the horrors of what is happening in the world, don't turn away and ignore it because it makes you feel bad. Remember we have weapons with Divine Power to demolish strongholds! Don't let the cares of this world disarm you! Whip out your Sword, the Word of God and go to war!
The enemy is trying to wreck this world, BUT, this world belongs to God and His people! So out of this wreck- rise up!
