Great Joy

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people."

Luke 2:10

The enemy wants to bring chaos and busyness to make us lose our focus. He wants to distract us by whatever means he can. Internet, tv, social media, work, play, duties, children, sports, hobbies...the list can go on and on. In my day to day life it's a struggle to prioritize the most important things. The principal thing. Jesus wants us to slow down and breathe. In John 15 He tells us to remain in His love so that His joy will be in us and our joy will be complete. There are many things to do and think about in a day, it can be overwhelming and distract us from His presence. I am determined to train myself to seek Him first, to put His presence as my number one priority so that He can determine the rest of my priorities. It is not an easy task but like any other important thing we get out what we put in, like diet and exercize, but I'm not going there that's a new devotion for a new day!
